Planting Instructions:

  • Grow potatoes in a full sun area in well-drained, sandy soil.
  • Avoid planting potatoes in the same spot every year.
  • 3-4 weeks before planting, place potatoes in a bright frost free area to sprout.
  • Plant sprouted potatoes in rows 6 deep and 12 apart. Rows should be 24 apart.
  • In mid-July hill the potatoes to protect he growing tubers from greening.
  • Harvest potatoes when the tubers have reached a usable size or the tops have died down.
  • Mature potatoes should be left in the ground 1-2 weeks allowing the skins to properly set which will increase their storage ability.
