The Gea collection takes its name from the primordial goddess, mother earth. The stylized luminaires that comprise it resemble upright female figures that defy verticality, enveloped in a ribbed veil of painted stainless steel mesh that clings to their subtle curves. The Gea floor lamp, designed by Arturo lvarez, features a zipper that allows the handmade mesh piece to be opened or closed. It emits a soft, enveloping light, which is evenly distributed throughout the structure. The main piece of the collection, which won a Good Design Award in 2007, is the floor lamp, an elegant sculptural volume that blends into any environment, adding a note of distinction to the room.
