ASPARAGUS PACIFIC PURPLE 2

The Asparagus officinalis 'Pacific Purple' is a high yelding variety of dark green/purple spears. A sweeter variety as well.

When planting new crowns, refrain from harvesting the first year, and harvest only a few spears the following one to allow the plant to become stronger.

Plant in a light soil, dig in sand if your soil is heavy clay.

In Autumn, once the feather foliage has gone yellow, cut back.

Height and Spread: 1.5 x 0.5m

Position: Full sun to dappled shade

Soil: Well-drained

Fruiting season: Spring and early summer

Good for pollinators.
