The 9602 Floor Lamp, also referred to as the “Chinese Hat,” was originally created by Paavo Tynell in 1935 for the Hotel Aulanko in Helsinki, Finland. Its distinct features include a brass-tipped lampshade and a rattan-covered stem, showcasing Tynell’s boundless creativity and unmatched skill in crafting timeless designs. The bamboo shade option of this lamp pairs a dose of tailored craftsmanship that is complemented by the polished brass elements of the cap and base. With its minimalist appearance, Tynell’s 1935 masterpiece shines as bright today as it did nearly a century ago.
